Every time I think I’ve gotten a handle on my time and am going to start blogging regularly, something happens. Some times it’s good, other times, not so much. This time around, I started a new job. This is, of course, a good thing. But I started 3 weeks before a major event… NOT GOOD. Then there was some travel… GOOD. Then I’ve spent the last 2 weeks trying to sort out a situation that pre-dated me on the project, by many months… NOT GOOD.
But let’s stick with the good. A new job, in a field I enjoy, where I can make an impact, learn a lot and start to shape the next steps for me. This is definitely a good thing.
Within my first couple weeks on the job, I managed to pull together the big picture vision that makes everything I’ve done before this make sense. And this job even fits into the picture. I still have a lot of fleshing out to do, but it is becoming clearer. I’m starting to get some stuff down on paper about where this is all heading, so more on that to come.
As for the job, well, I’m working on a project with tech startups across the Caribbean, so that’s pretty cool. I’m still finding my way after 2 months, but it has the potential to be a lot of fun and very challenging. It has already started to raise my profile which is something I have to get comfortable with. But I’m meeting lots of interesting people and having some inspiring conversations.
Onwards and upwards!
