An accomplished professional known for her systematic approach and breadth of knowledge, Bianca Welds offers a unique blend of business acumen and technology management which she is currently putting to work as Digital Innovation Manager at a financial institution. Before that, Bianca put her myriad of skills to use managing the Caribbean Mobile Innovation Project, after she was involved in developing an ambulatory surgical centre in Kingston. In prior years, Bianca was employed to Keystone Augusta, a holding company based in Orlando, Florida, as Manager of Special Projects, with a specific interest in technology and arts and culture projects, and participated in TechPeaks – The People Accelerator in Trento, Italy.
Bianca’s career has included several years in information technology, both in private sector, with firms such as IBM Jamaica, and public sector in agencies such as the Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ) and the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo), before moving on to leadership roles at Griot Music, an innovative live music and entertainment company and Chrysalis Communications, one of Jamaica’s leading web development firms. She also facilitated the establishment of industry organisations like the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA) and Kingston Creative.
Bianca holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies from the University of West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. She also obtained a Masters of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems, both from the University of Miami in Florida and studied Arts and Culture Management at the University of West Indies in Trinidad. She is also certified in Digital Business Transformation.
