We are half way through the Gumroad Small Product Lab challenge. It has been a pretty hectic week. Trying to do this alongside a regular 9-5 day job is challenging to say the least. But I got here. There’s still a lot of work to do before launch day, but today’s focus was about nailing the customer pains to write the product description.
I clicked Publish just a few minutes ago and with that sent my product out into the world for folks to pre-order. You still won’t get the workbook until launch day, October 8. But pre-ordering means you will get it as soon as it launches, plus you’ll get a sneak peek early next week. As a further bonus, pre-ordering means you get it at a reduced price. I have set it as “pay what you want” with a minimum price, but that minimum goes up after launch. So get in now. You can click the cover image to head over to the product page.
Now if you follow me on Twitter, you would have seen a string of tweets throughout the day about some of the other products in this iteration of the Small Product Lab. One of the comments I have seen in posts of others that have taken this challenge before is that there are so many amazing products, many of which make you go “Why didn’t I think of that?” There have defniitely been some of those, but also several “I wish I could do that.”
So here are some of my favourite products from this September Small Product Lab:
- Climate change as explained to frogs – a comic. You can get this one for free. Download, read it, share it.
- Architect + Entrepreneur: Startup Toolkit – This one is brilliant. I already sent it to a couple architects I know, and they are very excited about it.
- MyHeartyKid Teaching Companion – How do you not love “a toy to teach how to foster self esteem, confidence and working effectively with intentions”?
- Terrible Tinies – This appeals to the unpublished poet in me. Of course, at least he has tried. Lol!
I am bursting with ideas after seeing some of these. I will share some more as we head through the rest of the challenge.
